About

Built in the trenches. Run from the floor.

August Hospitality Group is a Houston-based hospitality management firm with more than fifteen years of operator-side experience running some of Texas's highest-volume alcohol accounts. We are not a consulting firm. We are an operating partner.

AHG was founded by operators who spent years on the floor before moving to the business side. The gap between opening a bar and running a profitable one is where most concepts fail. We close that gap — through systems, judgment, and the unglamorous work of running a tight shift, every shift.

What sets us apart: in-house finance, compliance, and payroll. Hands-on GM oversight. Deep entertainment and programming experience. A team that has managed more than $20M in annual gross sales and built the systems to scale operations without losing the floor.

Todd De La Garza

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Todd De La Garza entered the music and hospitality industry in 1997, becoming one of the most sought-after DJs in the country — on air and in venues — with the most-listened-to mix show in Texas for several consecutive years. His production credits include Pitbull, Beyoncé, Destiny's Child, Frankie J, and Demi Lovato, with a number-one Billboard Dance Chart placement for remix work. In 2000, Todd signed an exclusive deal with Triangle Entertainment in Houston, beginning a transition from headlining DJ to corporate manager to co-owner. That operator-side evolution — understanding the floor before running the business — is the foundation of how AHG is built and managed today.

Larkin Stallings

Co-Founder

Larkin Stallings began his hospitality career at 19, opening an entertainment venue in Palo Alto, California before earning a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston. After cutting his teeth in TGI Friday's expansion program, he went independent — opening The Surfside Patio Bar in Galveston in 1981 and The Ritz Café on Martha's Vineyard in 2014. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, Larkin has built and retained one of the most experienced operator teams in Texas. Fifteen members of his crew have been with him for over a decade. His combined experience spans concept design, construction, staff and management training, marketing, risk management, and full accounting and cost control.

Combined 65 years of operator experience across The Roxy, Drink Houston, J. Larkin's Clear Lake, The Panama Grill, El Rodeo, Shooters, Diablo Loco, El Dorado Ranch, Croc's, The Last Frontier, and more.

Why AHG

The reasons serious operators choose us.

Operator-led, not consultant-led

We manage the floor, not just the plan. Every recommendation comes from people who've run shifts, fixed service breakdowns, and owned the outcome.

Full back-office in-house

Bookkeeping, payroll, compliance, and HR under one roof. No third-party accounting firms, no gaps in your financials.

Texas-market specialists

We know the regulatory environment, the vendor landscape, and the customer base. No ramp-up on the basics.

Entertainment and nightlife expertise

Programming, talent booking, and atmosphere design aren't an afterthought — they're core to how we build revenue.

Scalable systems built for growth

The same operating framework that runs a single unit is designed to scale across multiple locations without losing quality.

Top vendor and supplier relationships

Years of relationships with the right distributors, contractors, and service partners translate directly to better terms and faster execution.
